“There are quite a no. of Nagomi teachers, each offering interesting pieces to paint. Teacher Shandy has found an interesting niche, focusing on painting iconic landmarks. Complicated pieces but she made it easy with her templates & step-by-step patient guidance. She turn non-artist to produce amazing work of art”.

I chanced upon Teacher Shandy‘s travel series only end Feb. She had made scenery painting so effortlessly and easy to learn. We can also catch up with the recordings if we couldn’t make it for the Zoom class. Since then, I have been addicted to doing scenery pieces and always looking forward to the Sunday morning class. I’m proud to say I had done all 4 travel series from Teacher Shandy. Definitely looking forward to the next series.

Shandy, thank you for your teaching🤗. 二月以來,我在事業發展上跑東跑西的,都有點體力透支了🥺。今晚為左照顧自己,騰出時間畫畫放空,這樣畫下沈醉下在大自然裏,又讓我回到平靜安穩的心情了。

I was lured to Teacher Shandy’s class because of the photo-liked painting by her students. Initially I was quite worried if I can follow and paint as well as her other students as I do not have any art background and just started pastel painting only 3 months ago.
After I joined her online class, I realized my worries are unfounded.
She knows her students have different type of pastel set and she is so thoughtful to provide a color chart (including the color number code) for the 3 most used pastel, i.e., Sakura, Omni and Faber-Castell at the beginning of her class so that her students can get all the colors ready before class starts and do not fumble along the way looking for the colors required.
She conducted her class in English and Mandarin and has no issue with Cantonese (she even has student from Hong Kong). She is very patience and will share story on the topic that she teaches. She teaches us how perspective and lighting can affect how we paint. With herself made stencils, everyone can paint like a pro in her class.
